Jordan Scheck emerged victorious in this year’s Jubilee Live Race in Nairobi, claiming the title with a record-breaking time of 1:30:39 in a heart-stopping finish that thrilled thousands of spectators. The international cycling race drew over 3,500 riders from 20 countries, turning Nairobi into a vibrant hub of sports and unity.

Scheck’s victory was by the slimmest of margins when he edged Kenya’s Charles Kagiliru, whose time was 1:30:40, a second behind the winner. John Muchiri claimed the bronze medal with a time of 1:33:50 after a spirited performance.

For the ladies, Ethiopia’s Mehamit Hadush took the championship title in a time of 1:38:21, closely followed by Mary Aleper at 1:46:55 and Jamila Abdula third at 1:47:08.

While celebrating the champions, Jubilee Holdings Chairman Zul Abdul made an observation regarding the history of the race, noting that it had grown a long way from its sporting roots. What started in 2021 as a modest cycling event has turned into a global celebration of wellness, inclusivity, financial knowledge, and community spirit,” he said. “Similar to life insurance, this race is a guarantee of lasting care, protection, and dedication. We are pleased with how it continues to bring people from all corners of the globe and from diverse backgrounds together.”.

Jubilee Holdings Head of Communications Caroline Ndungu supported the chairman’s sentiments, highlighting the higher good of the race. “The Jubilee Live Race is about more than cycling; it is about overall well-being and reminding societies that economic freedom is the route to a fulfilling life,” she said. “It is about resilience, unity, and the future we wish to build together.”.

Now in its fourth edition, the Jubilee Live Race has become one of the most anticipated events on Kenya’s sporting calendar, contributing to Nairobi’s growing reputation as an international sports tourism destination. With a total prize pool of KSh 4 million, the competition not only celebrates athletic excellence but also encourages participants to challenge their limits—just as life insurance empowers families to pursue dreams confidently, free from the fear of financial uncertainty.

The 2025 edition reaffirmed the nature of the event as one of hope, solidarity, and endurance—solidifying the Jubilee Live Race as much a movement toward healthier, freer, and stronger communities as it was a contest.
