IN PICS:Eldoret Soars High as Kenya Airways Returns and Airport Expansion Takes Flight
The government has pledged to expand the airport by 700 meters, allowing for larger aircraft to land. Additionally, jet fuel for cargo planes will be made available within the next two weeks, facilitating direct cargo flights from Eldoret to international destinations.
Cabinet Secretary for Roads, Kipchumba Murkomen, officially relaunched Kenya Airways flights at Eldoret International Airport in a ceremony attended by key dignitaries. These included Kenya Airways CEO, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii, Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wesley Rotich , Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, and KAA Chair Caleb Kositany.
