A senior administrator in Gatundu South Sub-County has gone into hiding following disturbing allegations of sexually assaulting two underage boys in Kamunyu sub-location.

The assistant chief, accused of the heinous acts on April 20, fled after locals began searching for him, leaving the community in shock and outrage.

According to one of the victims, the assistant chief lured him with Muratina, a traditional brew, before assaulting him while he was unconscious.

Another minor recounted a similar ordeal, explaining that he and two friends visited the chief’s homestead to deliver milk.

They were taken to a separate house and given alcohol. After his friends left to check on peers at a nearby circumcision event, the boy regained consciousness to find himself muddy, bleeding, and sexually violated.

He was rushed to a nearby medical facility, where the assault was confirmed, prompting his family to file a case at Gatundu Police Station under OB No. 04/24/04/25.

The second victim alleged that the chief followed them to a neighboring homestead, where he interrogated one of the boys about circumcision rites before attempting to force him onto a bed.

The boy resisted, pushing the administrator away, but the incident has left the victims living in fear and confining themselves indoors.

The community, which once regarded the assistant chief as a respected figure who had even undertaken a priesthood course, is reeling from the revelations.

Local resident Wambui expressed disbelief, asking, “How can a man trusted to uphold law and order turn into a predator?” She also claimed the administrator attempted to bribe the victims’ families to silence them.

Assistant County Commissioner Rose Chege confirmed the incident, assuring the public that security agencies are actively searching for the suspect. “All victims have been examined by medical officers, and I want to assure you that justice will prevail,” Chege stated.

She criticized the community for delays in reporting such cases, urging residents to come forward promptly to ensure swift action. As the manhunt continues, the incident has sparked renewed calls for accountability and protection for vulnerable children in the region.
