Form Three Girl in Critical Condition After Alleged Stabbing by Classmate in Bomet
A Form Three student at Chemalal AIC Secondary School is fighting for her life after she was allegedly stabbed by a fellow student in an incident linked to a suspected love triangle.
The 17-year-old victim sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment in critical condition at Litein Level Four Hospital, according to police.
Konoin Sub-County Deputy Police Commander Mohammed Godana said the suspect, a 23-year-old male student, allegedly confronted his girlfriend after she attended a Christian Union session within the school compound before stabbing her in the chest and left arm.
Members of the public who responded to the commotion reportedly attacked the suspect, leaving him with injuries to the head and shoulder before he was rescued and arrested by police officers.
Police said the suspect, who is a day scholar, is believed to have carried the knife from home with the intention of harming the victim.
Investigators recovered a blood-stained knife at the scene as inquiries into the motive and circumstances surrounding the attack continue.
