Faith Kipyegon newly-crowned world record holder breaks down into tears!

Faith Kipyegon the newly-crowned 1500-meter and 5,000-meter world record holder Saturday broke down into tears after Rana Auto selection gifted her father Samwel Koech 67, a silver Toyota probox vehicle in Edoret Uasin Gishu County.


Faith the  first woman to go under 3 minutes, 50 seconds(3:49.11)broke the 5,000 meters record last Friday at the Paris Diamond League by clocking 14:05.20 she won the  race ahead of former world record-holder Letesenbet Gidey of Ethiopia.


Faith noted that was her most happiest moment as no one had ever gifted her parents any gift “I am the happiest today more than any other time in my life to see Kenyans appreciate me and my efforts by gifting my father this vehicle, I promise to work even harder and remain a true role model to the young girls within and outside our borders “She stated.


Her father Samwel Koech, who remained calm behind a bold smile appreciated her daughter Faith for making her proud,


“I am a maize and potato farmer in Kuresoi, Molo Nakuru county and this probox vehicle could not have come at a better time just a day shy  to the  Father’s Day Sunday 17th ”he commented .

Sultan Ali Khan, the Rana CEO said the company will continue to support the athletic family in Kenya.

President Dr. William Ruto has promised  That the government will reward faith with a cash prize for her feat as a runner where she will receive 5 million Kenyan shillings (nearly $36,000) for the 1,500 meters and a home worth 6 million Kenyan shillings ($43,000) for the 5,000m world record.
