Ensure safety of your children in the festive season;Security agencies in Kwale Urge parents

Security agencies in Msambweni constituency, Kwale county have cautioned parents to ensure the safety of their children this festive season .
The area which is a tourism destination is experiencing the highest number of tourists across the world after Diani beach was voted the best beach in Africa 7 times in a row .
Speaking Monday at Jomo Kenyatta primary school , Msambweni deputy county commissioner Lotiatia Kipkech said this festive season will have a beehive of activities that may endanger the lives of children .
“Parents should protect their children from moving around the beaches or towns ,we need these children back to school safely come next year , let the children spend more of their time in Madrasa and Sunday schools instead of giving them excessive freedom to loiter around the beaches ,”Warned the Deputy commissioner .
At the sametime Mr.kipkech has warned locals who violate the law and continue to conduct disco “matanga” and night celebrations saying strict legal measures will be taken against them .
“ Security apparatus will not tolerate any local conducting night celebrations ,its vivid that disco matanga has stimulated a lot of evil in our society ,suspects use such places as their hidings ,these are the places where illegal business are taking place ,night celebration has been termed as an accelerator for early pregnancies ,calling upon chiefs and sub -chiefs to be vigilant and report anyone found defying the law ,”Noted Mr.Kipkech .
He condemned the rising numbers of youth using drugs in the area.
“I am calling upon religious leaders and parents to talk to our youth drug abuse aims to destroy their future ,let them not adapt to foreign behaviors ,The National government has come up with a lot of initiatives of supporting youth to come up with businesses and projects to unable them make money and improve their livelihoods ,let them shun away from maskanis and alcohol clubs ,” Posed Mr.kipkech .
The deputy commissioner said security strategies have been heightened this festive season for both locals and tourists.
“I want to assure you that we have beefed up security in this area during and after this festive season ,there will be 24 hour patrol , along the beach ,and every corner of this sub -county to ensure all places witness safety , the area is calm and I welcome any guest to come and enjoy the breeze of our beaches “,Assured Mr.kipkech .
Mr.kipkech urged Msambweni communities to embrace tourism and will ensure tourists are safe .
“ Let us welcome tourists across the world ,they are a source of revenue.The growth of our economy depends on revenue from the tourism sector ,so let us join hands and ensure all guests are safe during this festive season ,”Said Mr.Kipkech .
His sentiments were echoed by Msambweni constituency member of parliament Faisal Bader saying his office will partner with security agencies to ensure the area remains calm before ,during and after this festive season .
