Chipu loses to USIU in their friendly match two weeks before the start of the World Rugby U20 trophy Challenge set to commence on the 15th – 30th of July.
The Kenya U20 Rugby Team, Chipu, tested themselves in a well played and characterized friendly against the USIU Martials at the USIU Grounds earlier today where they narrowly lost by 20 – 25.
The match was steamed with Chipu controlling almost the whole game and broadening a winning gap between them and the USIU Martials before the first half, Chipu displayed composure and high level of expert rugby.
At start of the second half, Chipu were still in control of the game with the gap being at 20-5, Chipu made some small tactical errors that were spotted by their rivals where they took chances and highly closing in on the score and by the end of the 80 minutes, the USIU were ahead of Chipu and the game ended with the USIU winning and the Chipu loosing.
In the World Rugby U20 trophy tournament, Kenya is set to face Samoa on the 15th of July before facing Spain on the 20th and Hong Kong China on the 25th the same month marking the end of Group stages.

Match Officials – World Rugby U20 TrophyCHALLENGE
Eight officials were named on the U20 Trophy panel, including Craig Chan from Hong Kong China.
U20 Trophy panel: Cisco Lopez (USA), Cauã Ricardo Santos Maria (Brazil), Robin Kaluzniak (Canada), Tevita Rokovereni (Fiji), Kat Roche (USA ), Precious Pazani (Zimbabwe), Saba Abulashvili (Georgia), Craig Chan (Hong Kong China).
Kat Roche (USA) and Precious Pazani (Zimbabwe) will become the first female officials to referee at U20 Trophy in Kenya.
