The Israel Ambassador to Kenya Michael Lotem has completed his two day visit in Uasin Gishu County where lucrative deals that will benefit the Uasin Gishu residents have been agreed on in the areas of Health ,Water,Waste Management and Agriculture sectors.
Addressing the media today at the Uasin Gishu County Headquarters, Uasin Gishu governor Jonathan Bii noted That in The health sector through a Private Public Partnership with the county government, The County Government will benefit with medical equipment worth Ksh437M,
“Our health sector stands to benefit immensely ,in phase one The Uasin Gishu district Hospital will benefit with a state of the art laboratory renovation, skill transfer among other benefits”

The Governor elaborated that other key areas of collaboration include housing ,water solid waste management ,urban road transport system, traffic lights and urban mobility among other key areas ,
“As we prepare Eldoret to be conferred a City Status , these areas of collaboration with the Israel Government will accelerate economic development , attracting more investors into our town “Said Governor Bii.
The Eldoret water and Sanitation Company ( Eldowas )is expected to benefit from this arrangement through acquiring of Smart meters ,sewerage reticulation as well as knowledge transfer in water management and conservation,

“Israel recycles ninety percent of its solid treatment waste into agriculture. We intend to benefit from this technology while our farmers will also benefit from insemination semen from Israel that will boost milk production six fold, “said the County Boss.
Michael Lotem the Israel Ambassador to Kenya observed that the collaborations will benefit the ordinary Mwananchi, who will benefit from better Health service delivery,
“We came out with specific understandings and decisions, that will benefit ordinary citizens who will get better diagnosis and treatment, affordable housing and we believe very much in the business approach as it is the most sustainable one in this kind of a collaboration “Said Lotem
