“We are urging the Security officers to heighten security within Huruma ward  and Especially  at Mwenderi area that has largely  been affected  by  the state  of  Insecurity, We also plead with our Governor(Jonathan Bii)  to look into the issues  of  street lighting “Said Maina.

John kamau Another  resident  of  Huruma ward complained   that their  Area  member  of  County Assembly  Kimani Wanjohi was unbothered to address the  pressing security  challenges affecting his electorates,

“We have informed him that the  street lights  especially along  Mwenderi are no longer operational including  the high mast  lights ,it’s been the  fourth day he  has not  replied to our plea nor  addressed the challenges that is why we  are pleading with governor  Jonathan Bii,”He  Said.

The  Residents  have  also  called  upon the  Governor  to address issues of  poor  service  delivery at the Huruma Sub County Hospital , with many of the patients now  forced to seek  laboratory services in nearby clinics that are  said to be owned by some of the  Hospital Staffs,

“We thank  the  Governor  for  having  flagged  off medical supplies worth Ksh67M however we urge  him to monitor and take action against some medical staffs who are  using  dubious means at the Huruma Sub County Hospital to deny residents  quality service  delivery by sending them to  nearby clinics for services that can be availed  at the Facility” Said  Maina.

The Uasin Gishu County Government has committed to improve service delivery to its residents as it prepares The Eldoret City Status recognition.
