Eldoret:Police arrest five suspects behind a car theft syndicate!

Police in Uasin Gishu County Thursday arrested five criminals suspected to be behind a car theft syndicate.
According to the Uasin Gishu County Police Commander, Benjamin Mwanthi, acting on a tip off police nabbed the five at an unfinished building within Kapsoya estate while dismembering a car whose make has been identified as Toyota Porte.
“We thank members of the public who continue to provide useful information to the police , we suspect the five are members of well-connected car theft syndicate operating between Nairobi and Neighbouring counties within the North rift”Noted the Police boss.
Upon a search of the suspects house the police were able to retrieve eight sets of TV, thirteen laptops, thirteen phones, car keys, and logbooks suspected to have been stolen.
The County Criminal investigation officer, Daniel Muleli has assured of speedy investigations where he has also implored upon members of the public who have reported of missing vehicles to visit Kapsoya Police station in a bid to identify some of their stolen items .
The Police have assured members of the Public of enhanced security .
