The Development bank of Kenya on Thursday opened its branch along Moi Avenue within the CBD in Mombasa County.

 

The bank aims at expanding its customer base in the Coastal city and the entire region at large.

 

The branch comes for the first time in Mombasa and second in the country after that of Nairobi County.

 

The new branch was inaugurated by county chief executive officer for finance Evans Oanda alongside top leadership of the institute led by DBK Managing Director Johnson Kiniti.

 

Speaking during the opening event Kiniti, expressed his delight, saying it will greatly facilitate the bank customer’s financial needs.

 

“As the formally oldest development financial institute in Kenya and one of the recent fast-growing   banks in the country, it will greatly expand the sector and boost the economy through project investments offered by the bank “. Kiniti stated.

 

He said the move also will mark the start of financial freedom for business operators, SMs and residents as well as other customers who transact huge amounts of money.

 

The MD further encouraged residents to take advantage of financial services that are now accessible through opening DBK bank accounts in order to grow their business economically.

 

“We are committed to providing international-class financial solutions to our customers through our vast range of products and services, which are tailored to meet clients’ needs.” said the MD.
