24 suspects arrested in connection to conflicts in South Rift tea estates!
The Cabinet Minister says Politician and Business leaders are involved in the incitement to violence and anarchy

24 suspects have been arrested in connection to conflicts in tea estates in Kericho and Bomet Counties.
Cabinet Minister for internal security Kithure Kindiki has announced the arrest of 13 suspects from Boment and 11 suspects from Kericho County.
Addressing members of the Public in Kesses sub County Uasin Gishu County The Cabinet Minister says Politician and Business leaders are involved in the incitement to violence and anarchy.
“We have instructed the Regional Intelligence and security team in Rift valley to camp in the South Rift until the matter is contained permanently” Assured Kindiki.
The agencies involved have been directed to expedite their investigations ,arrest all those responsible to inciting public unrest and the commission of crime irrespective of their political religious or social standing.Added Kindiki
The Minister has warned a decisive action will be taken against politicians inciting members of the public to invade private properties saying it could slide the country into anarchy.
“We will spare no one on this,if the matter is not dealt with now it could spread to other countries in the rift valley, those with grievances over tea estates should direct them to the courts”He warned
