Anti-jigger drive launched in Uasin Gishu;Scores of families affected in densely populated estates!
53 households were treated and received food relief in Langas ward Kapseret Sub County.
The Uasin Gishu County woman representative has launched a fumigation and anti-jigger drive targeted at homesteads worst affected by jigger infestations.
Over 50 households were targeted in Langas ward kapseret sub county where scores of affected families benefited from the two day exercise conducted in conjunction with the ALTEN solar power plant.
“I thank the county government of Uasin Gishu and gallant health workers, alongside Alten Solar Power Plant for their assistance and support, which allowed me to hold a fumigation and anti-jigger drive, many of our people are suffering especially those in the informal settlements”Said Boss Shollei.
A further 42 households are scheduled to benefit from a similar program here at Langas , where we have also provided food relief.She added.
A Similar exercise has been carried out to hundreds of children and families in Bundagi area of Soy Constituency as well as in Vumilia A and B villages .
“We are grateful to God that children and families will now sleep better, other that the treatment we provided relief foodstuff,footwear, blankets and treatment to the residents of Vumilia A and Vumilia B, in Soy constituency Uasin Gishu, the exercise will continue” She added.
Parasites and pests degrade our quality of life, at Kamkunji in Uasin Gishu, we participated in a fumigation exercise to help alleviate this problem.She added.
