Man Found Dead in Kisumu Home as Police Probe Wall Message

Police in Kisumu have launched investigations into the death of a man whose body was discovered inside his house in Mamboleo, Kajulu, under circumstances that have left residents concerned.
The deceased, who was reportedly working at a posho mill, was found dead inside his home. Detectives have since opened a murder investigation as they work to establish what happened before his death and identify the person responsible.
The case has attracted particular attention because of a handwritten message that was allegedly left on a wall inside the house. The message is believed to have been written by the suspected killer before leaving the scene.
According to the preliminary account, the writer accused the deceased of having an affair with his wife. The message further alleged that the relationship resulted in the birth of a child and claimed that the writer had unknowingly raised the child.
The allegations contained in the message have not been independently verified. Police have cautioned members of the public against treating the claims as established facts as detectives continue with their investigations.
Investigators are expected to establish whether the message was genuinely written by the person responsible for the killing or whether it was intended to mislead detectives.
Crime scene officers visited the house and began collecting evidence that could help piece together the events leading to the man’s death. Detectives are also expected to interview relatives, neighbours and other people who may have interacted with the deceased before he was found dead.
The body was later removed from the scene and taken to a local mortuary. A post-mortem examination is expected to establish the cause of death and provide investigators with additional information that could assist in determining how the man died.
Police have not publicly named a suspect in connection with the incident.
