‘We are coming for you’Uasingishu County Commissioner warns brewers of illicit liquor

Uasin Gishu county commissioner Dr.Edison Nyale has put all illegal brewers in the county on notice and also issued a stern warning of immediate closure of liquor stores that are operating without a license.
Speaking during mashujaa day celebrations at Central primary,Nyale said illegal brewing remains one of menaces the county faces and he promised a sting operation soon throughout the county I lid it off illicit liquor .
Dr. Nyale  called upon the Uasingishu  residents to unite and cooperate with the county security agencies in order to provide useful information that will help the security agencies to curb ilicit brew businesses.
“It is me and you who will make sure that this county is well steered forward and this is by ensuring that we have good security in the county when we coordinate with security agencies to eradicate alcoholism”, said Dr.Nyale
Dr.Nyale added that Following a meeting with the Uasingishu Governor Jonathan Bii  the security agencies have agreed to  put  up  measures that will curb the ilicit trade.

“The governor and I have had discussions and agreed that we will put  strict measures to deal with those are practising the business and i urge them to change before  we catch up on them they will face the full force of the law”,Warned  Dr.Nyale.
“We have already begun our crack down on notorious areas such in Munyaka,Langas ,Kamukunji and Huruma estates and very soon residents Will not that we mean serious business “,said Dr.Nyale.
The statistics from NACADA in 2021 showed that out of 42 million Kenyans,13.6% consume alcohol,5.8% abuse alcohol and 5.5% are dependent on alcohol. Sadly those dependent are youthful.
