Vihiga; At least one dead, 11 injured in a fatal road accident.

As many parts of the western region continue to receive heavy rains. Road users have been advised to be careful when driving or walking.

The Sabatia Member of Parliament, Clement Sloya,in his speech while addressing journalists yesterday at Vihiga County Referral Hospital following reports of an accident at Muhedwe along Kisumu-Mbale road involving high school students, called upon road users and the general public to be cautious.

” The rains are here with us and this season comes with a fair share of its own challenges. Road users are advised to take extra care during this rainy season.” Said Clement Sloya.

Unfortunately one student succumbed while others were rushed to Vihiga County Teaching and Referral Hospital. He said.

” 11 students have been treated and discharged from the hospital.” He added.

The legislator paid the affected students a visit in the hospital clearing pending hospital bills promising them hope.
