Unilever has appointed Ben Lang’at as the Executive Vice President and Head of the recently merged East and West Africa region. In this capacity, Ben will oversee the regional business operations, leveraging his extensive experience and strategic acumen.

Ben joins Unilever from Friesland Campina, where he served as the Managing Director for Sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career at Unilever Tea Kenya in 1993 and has since held various pivotal roles within Unilever, including Finance Director positions in Kenya and Ghana, along with leadership roles at Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company in Nigeria.

Jaime Aguilera, General Manager of Unilever Africa, Caribbean, and Central America, expressed excitement about Ben Lang’at rejoining the Unilever family. Aguilera emphasized Ben’s profound understanding of the African market and his dedication to fostering sustainable business models, which strongly align with Unilever’s values and strategic objectives.
