UDA party officials in Nyanza region tell off Raila Odinga over anti-government rallies

UDA party officials from different counties in Nyanza region have told off the ODM party and Azimio coalition Leader Raila Odinga , over the planned public rallies, allegedly planned to discuss the fate of the IEBC commissioners
Speaking in Kisumu early Monday morning, the UDA Party officials from Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, and Migori have declared they would not support such moves by the opposition leader.
The Officials led by the Migori UDA coordinator Mr Pheres Odira, have said that there has been such several demos in the past, where the biggest losers have been innocent persons who were either injured or killed in such demonstrations.
Lukas Ouko Kirindo, the UDA Kisumu County coordinator in his statement has called on the ODM Leader and other Azimio leaders who are in Support of such rallies , to take time and reconsider the planned demos as they would affect the business environment.
‘The country is very fresh from the election tensions and heated campaigns that greatly affected, businesses, why would anyone think of demos or rallies at such a moment?’ he paused.
Kirindo added that the opposition team has an option of using other official forums such as the courts or petitions to parliament to air their grievances following the ouster of the said IEBC commissioners
Their calls comes, shortly after the vice chair of the commission Juliana Cherera, resigned early monday morning , few days after IEBC commissioner Justus Nyan’gaya resigned from the commision, a move seen as an obvious decisions to avoid appearing before the tribunal created by the president to look into their conduct.
