Uasin Gishu's New Inspectorate service

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Friday Unveiled a County Inspectorate Service expected to replace the unfriendly brutal enforcement officers (Kanju) who have been linked to numerous cases of human right abuses.

 

The changes come a few days before the Start of the 8th devolution conference that has attracted over 10,000 delegates.

 

The new inspectorate service is expected to play a pivotal role in Governor Bii’s administration by enhancing crucial services and promoting law and order in Uasin Gishu.

 

The Inspectorate service will be adorned in a new Uniform with well-branded names and identification numbers for each officer, The move is aimed at promoting discipline, professionalism, integrity, as well as promoting respect and honour among the residents of Uasin Gishu and the business community.

The Business community is however hopeful that the  new Inspectorate service will operate with a new mindset .
