Uasin Gishu to enhance partnerships to improve health services

The County Government of Uasin Gishu is ready for collaborations and partnerships to improve and better health services in Uasin Gishu County.

 

 

Speaking on Wednesday when he hosted officials from the National Endemic Diseases Control Council, Deputy Governor Eng. John Barorot, said the administration takes a big interest in health partnerships.

 

 

The DG, while reiterating that health is top among the 10 pillars of Governor Jonathan Bii’s agendas, said several key interventions have already been rolled out to improve health services in the county.

“In the few days that this government has been in office, we have been able to reinstate the Revolving Fund Pharmacy and actualize supply of drugs directly to the facilities where they are needed,” said Barorot.

 

 

“This shows the seriousness that this government has on health matters,” he said, adding, “So we are quite welcoming to anyone coming to lend us a hand in terms of partnership, to ensure that our people get the best health services.”

 

 

Among the agendas discussed included joint efforts for the prevention of Hiv/Aids, malaria, tuberculosis and lung diseases.
