Trans Nzoia senator Allan chesang has launched a football tournament aimed at elevating idleness among youth leading to crime and drug abuse.
The tournament dubbed Allan chesang talent search is set to benefit more than 450 teams with 50 slots set aside for women football teams.
Chesang who spoke at Ndura sports complex during the launch said that Trans nzoia had immense potential in sports that remained untapped.
He added that he will partner with American teams to see to it that youth from the county benefited with exchange programs.
This comes as other leaders including the governor are set to launch a football tournament in the county.
