A three-week-old baby boy was rescued by three women after being abandoned by an unidentified mother outside a tenants’ plot in Langas Estate. The women discovered the infant around 3:30 PM, crying and alone. According to one of the rescuers, the baby was wrapped in a shawl, and there were no immediate clues as to the identity of the mother.

The women promptly took the child to the Langas Police Station, where authorities have initiated an investigation. The matter has also been referred to the Children’s Department to ensure that the newborn receives the necessary care and protection.
