Sudan Calls Kenya to Stop RSF Backing and Respect UN Duties in Charter
Kenya is among the primary channels through which the UAE military supplies the RSF against the assertion of the allegations of these movements by the Ruto government.

The Sudan government has demanded that President William Ruto administration discontinue all support it gives to the Rapid Response Forces (RSF) and observe the principle of non-interference in internal matters of other nations.
In a statement on Tuesday, June 24, the ministry of foreign affairs of the country urged Kenya to respect what it had agreed under the Charter of the United Nations whose obligation the country had agreed on international peace and security.
This follows its allegations that Government Spokesperson, Isaac Mwaura, had admitted that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was supporting the RSF an opposition group today fighting to take over the country.
Kenya is among the primary channels through which the UAE military supplies the RSF against the assertion of the allegations of these movements by the Ruto government.
Criticising Kenyan government, Sudan also refuted the claims by Mwaura that same military assistance was being given to Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) by other countries.
“These allegations are unfounded. SAF, the national army, is duty-bound constitutionally and morally to defend the country and its people,” Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted. “The international community is obligated to support Sudan in exercising the right of self-defence against the savage terrorist militia and its external sponsors, the same way it helped in fighting ISIS, Al-Shabaab and Boko Haram,” it added.
Also, Mwaura was reprimanded over his alleged role in supporting the division of Sudan by the RSF militia by declaring what it called a parallel government, which was referred to by the latter as a Government of Peace.
Through its statement, Sudan once again emphasized that the support of Kenya to the RSF threatened the security and stability in the entire region besides jeopardizing the territorial integrity of states and the existence of Africa nations.
“Sudan once again calls on Kenya to honour its obligations under the Charter of the United Nations, the Constitutive Act of the AU, and other regional organisations, and to cease all forms of support to the terrorist RSF militia,” Sudan demanded.
This is just one month after the Kenyan government clarified that it had nothing to do with claims that it was involved in supporting the RSF into establishment of a parallel government.
In an interview with the Cabinet Secretary Foreign Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi, during a live interview broadcasted by the Citizen TV he pointed at the fact that Kenya hosted and did not attend RSF meetings. He disclosed that the Kenya decision to host RSF was as part of its responsibility to promote peace and stability in the region.
