Series of Violent Crimes Under Investigation Across Multiple Counties

In Muranga County, authorities are probing a chilling murder case after the decomposed body of a seven-year-old boy was discovered in a thicket in the Kitini area of Kambiti.

Found on Saturday afternoon, the body was wrapped in cloth, leading police to suspect the child was killed elsewhere and dumped at the scene. The motive remains unclear, and no suspects have been apprehended.

As of Sunday, the boy’s identity was still unknown, with the body moved to a local mortuary for autopsy and further investigation.

In a separate incident in Baringo County, a gruesome discovery was made in the Konoo area of Barwesa, where the body of 28-year-old Pensive Samalong was found on a roadside.

The woman had suffered severe head wounds and her right hand was severed, her body lying in a pool of blood. Police recovered her damaged mobile phone and personal bag at the scene.

A suspect, identified as her boyfriend, turned himself in at a local police station, admitting to a violent altercation fueled by personal disputes. The body was transferred to Baringo County Referral Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, in Makueni’s Kalawa area, three individuals were detained in connection with the brutal killing of 35-year-old Robinson Mumo Munyao. His body, discovered early Saturday at Kalawa Market, bore two deep forehead wounds. Preliminary investigations led to the swift arrest of the suspects.

In another violent episode in Ruai Sub-County, a man was taken into custody after allegedly attacking his wife during a domestic dispute in the Makongo area of Kamulu.

The woman sustained a serious head injury and wounds to both arms and was rushed to Ruai Family Hospital in critical condition. Police are continuing their inquiries into the incident.

Investigations into all cases are ongoing as authorities work to uncover motives and bring justice to the victims.
