President William Ruto has expressed deep sorrow following the death of former Kilgoris Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister, Gideon Konchellah, describing him as a dedicated public servant who devoted much of his life to serving the people and the nation.
In his condolence message, the President paid tribute to Konchellah’s long record of leadership, noting that he represented the people of Kilgoris with distinction for nearly two decades and remained committed to the principles of public service.
President Ruto said Konchellah understood that leadership was founded on trust and responsibility, adding that his legacy would be remembered through the lives he impacted and the confidence his constituents placed in him over the years.
The Head of State noted that the country had lost a respected statesman, while the people of Kilgoris had lost a devoted son and steadfast advocate who championed their interests throughout his political career.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to Konchellah’s family, friends and the residents of Kilgoris, urging them to find comfort in his enduring legacy of service and dedication to the nation.
President Ruto said Kenyans join the bereaved family in mourning the former legislator and Cabinet Minister, whose contribution to public life left a lasting mark on the country.
He concluded by praying for the peaceful repose of Konchellah’s soul.
