The Turbo Sub -County security team led  by the chair  Mohammed  Mwabudzo is  set to deliberate a notification of  mass  demonstration by over  300 youth who  claim to have  been defrauded millions of  shillings by an Eldoret based recruitment Agency .

While addressing the media  shortly after  notifying the Officer Commanding the Eldoret  Central Police  station , the youth have indicated they will be  demanding an  audience this  Thursday from key government officers led by the Uasin Gishu County Commissioner ,the  Uasin Gishu Criminal Investigations officer  and  the Director of  Public prosecution as well as  the Uasin Gishu Governor   Jonathan Bii.

“We have on this day Monday as  is  stipulated  by law  notified the police of  our intent  to hold  mass demonstrations within the Eldoret Central Business District on Thursday ,over 300 youth will participate in the  demonstrations  , we have vowed to demand  an audience  from the  county commissioner  Mr  Eddyson Nyale, CCIO Uasin Gishu, Governor  Jonathan Bii and  the  director of  Public prosecution who have  failed  to accord us  any assistance after we  were defrauded  millions of  shillings  by First Choice  recruitment  and  Consultancy  that had  promised  us  jobs in Qatar and other countries ,”Said Enock Kiptoo Tarus

One of the Job Seekers who claim to have been defrauded over ksh 400,000.

I paid  over Ksh 400,000 to the  recruitment  agency I was  promised a job in Poland  but until now I am still held up in Eldoret  with no  assurance, I have  demanded  back my money and  a check was  given to me that I am supposed  to  bank next year  and it’s not the  entire  amount paid to the Agency,”Said one of  the job seekers.

Sam Another  job seeker who is also a bodaboda operator says  he  was  forced to sell of  his motor cycle as well as   convinced his parents to sell their only  parcel of land  in order to raise  enough money needed for their travel abroad with some his  siblings,

“I am now  an outskirt in my family I have forced them into abject poverty ,I was hoping  my sibling and I would make a  difference for my family once  we  secured  jobs  abroad , I lost  my motorcycle, my parents land  and now the  money is  gone  and no one is  willing to help us get our money back from this  agency,”Said  Sam

Pauline Ambaka another  job seeker says  she  was convinced  that the  agency was legit  after  senior  government officials led  by Cabinet  Secretary  Co-operative and  SMEs Simon Chelugui and  former Governor  who is  the  Uasin Gishu Senetor  Jackson Mandago graced the  official launch of the recruitment  agency at the Central primary grounds in Eldoret,

“With the presence  of highly  ranked  government officers in the launch I was  convinced that agency was legit however  we  have lost millions of  shillings and no one is willing to help us, the officer in charge of  the  agency Judy Chepchirchir has  said to our  face  that there is nothing we  can do, we  are  therefore appealing to the  President to help us  get our money back”Said Ambaka.

The  youth have made  allegations  that their  plight has fallen to deaf  ears due to interference from senior  government officials and  have pledged to paralyze operations within Eldoret Town Thursday in order to get  the  support of President William Ruto.

“We have been intimidated and  some of  us have  been threatened ,we  have nothing else  to lose we  have lost hope but  we plead with our president  to listen to the  hustlers who are been denied whats is  rightfully theirs, our  families  have been left in poverty and  huge loans  by the  recruitment  agency that has shut offices at Eldoret City  plaza to an unknown location perhaps continuing  to defraud more  unsuspecting youth into their racket” Said Lawrence.

It  has since been established  by the hubzmedia  that the First Choice  recruitment agency has  since been  closed at the  City Plaza Building.
