The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Masika Wetangula has called upon the inspector general of police to expedite investigations into the invasion and destruction of property belonging to the Former head of state Uhuru Kenyatta.
While addressing mourners in Eldoret Wetangula underscored the need for the police to protect lives and properties of Kenyans regardless of their political affiliation.
“I urge the Inspector general of police to investigate and arrest the unknown youth who invaded former President Uhuru’s Northland farm, every Kenyan has a right guaranteed under the constitution to protection of their properties” Said Wetangula.
However the speaker who did not make reference to destruction of property at East Africa Specter limited Company associated with Azimio Leader Rail Odinga, bashed the former head of state for engaging in active politics,
“Lakini wewe ndugu yetu Uhuru Kenyatta uliona Mzee Moi alistaafu na pole pole akaenda nyumbani, hakuna siku moja aliingilia siasa za kibaki,Mzee Kibaki alistaafu hakuna siku moja wakenya waliona Kibaki akihutubia mkutano wa watu kumi, wewe umestaafu na bado tunaona unafanya siasa za uchochezi”Said Wetangula.
We have seen you addressing political rallies,we have seen you talk things that don’t bring the country together,we have seen you behaving in a manner inconsistent with a retired president, we want to advice you ,you will enjoy respect deserving a retired head of state if you behave responsibly,Added Wetangula.
The speaker insisted that it would be disgraceful of the Former head of state to be seen picketing and inhaling tear gas while attending Azimio la Umoja mass demonstrations.
