Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government Kipchumba Murkomen has confirmed that the government will continue its efforts to promote peaceful relationships between different communities throughout the nation during a public baraza held in Ndabibi Maiella Ward Nakuru County.

The meeting allowed Murkomen to work with local leaders and National Government Administrative Officers and security officials to identify existing security problems and develop solutions for improved government service delivery to the community.

The CS announced two government programs which include building a police station in addition to creating a new administrative division for the area. The new Divisional Headquarters will serve as a base for civil registration and ID operations which will utilize a mobile registration program that offers essential documentation services to communities with limited access.

Murkomen directed chiefs nationwide to ensure all eligible Kenyans are issued with national identification cards without discrimination.

The baraza was attended by Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Rift Valley Regional Commissioner Abdi Hassan and Regional Police Commander Samuel Ndanyi together with other senior government officials.

The County leaders present included Susan Kihika Bahati MP Irene Njoki Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Joel Karuri and Maiella MCA Jane Gituku.

The government strategy aims to enhance security through new Division creation and police station establishment and civil registration service expansion according to Murkomen who made that statement.

The program will enhance area safety while allowing residents to access critical services which include identification and civil registration at their convenience according to him.

The new Division together with its services will create a vital improvement for Nakuru County residents because it will bring government services closer to their location in regions which have been previously underserved.
