The Kenya Esports Federation (ESKF) has confirmed that the Kenya Esports Series will come to Eldoret for the much-awaited Rift Series on November 1, 2025. The series will be hosted at Rupaz Fun and Fitness Center within Rupa’s Mall, which marks a milestone for competitive gamers in the Rift Valley area.
This tournament follows closely the historic achievement of the Nakuru City Flamingo Series earlier this October, where more than 200 gamers had converged from all over the country. The large turn-up in Nakuru indicated the growing impact of the federation and its commitment in shaping Kenya’s fast-growing esports scene.
The Eldoret leg will feature four of the country’s and the world’s most popular gaming titles — EAFC, eFootball Mobile, FC Mobile, and Tekken — attracting both veteran players and rookies from the nation and around the globe. The players will fight for a share of the KES 50,000 prize purse, and the national ranking points that can make all the difference in their ascent to the top of the esports ladder.
In wrap-up of Rift Series, the top four players in every game category will move to the National Finals, where they will compete in Nairobi on December 12, 2025. The finals will crown Kenya’s national esports champions, rounding off a season of record growth in player turnout and fan interest.
Among those eagerly awaiting the event is Eldoret’s own Ayibei Kibet, one of the country’s most recognized esports professionals. “Competing in my home city means a lot to me,” Kibet said. “This tournament gives Eldoret gamers a perfect platform to showcase their skills. I’m ready to give it my all and secure my slot at the national finals.”
Uasin Gishu county Esports Branch Chairman Zachary Ramogo welcomed the decision to conduct the Rift Series in Eldoret, mentioning the importance to the digital economy of the region. “We are honored to host this event in Eldoret — a city famous for raising champions,” he explained. “This event not only showcases local gaming talent but also aims to promote esports as a contemporary platform for empowering youth and technological advancement.”.
ESKF President Ronny Lusigi expressed optimism about the series’ ongoing expansion across Kenya. “The energy in Nakuru was incredible, and we’re thrilled to see that same enthusiasm in Eldoret,” he remarked. “These regional tournaments ensure inclusivity by giving players from all corners of the country an opportunity to compete and qualify for the national stage.”
Following the Rift Series in Eldoret, the Kenya Esports Series will move to Mombasa for the Coastal Series on 15th November, then Kisumu for the Lake Series on 22nd November, then Nairobi to end the season with the Capital Series on 29th November. The season will be rounded off with the National Finals on 12th December as Kenya’s top esports champions clash for national honors.
