A middle aged man was on Monday night mauled to death by stray dogs at Kapseret trading Centre in Kapseret Subcounty, Uasin Gishu.
Shocked residents claim to have heard a man crying for help in the wee hours of the night but then assumed the outcry was coming from a drunken man heading to his home.
“The man was crying at night. We assumed he was just drunk only to find his lifeless body this Morning, the dogs had badly eaten his intestines “Said a resident.
Langas police officers have since transferred the body of the deceased to the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital mortuary.
Eldoret town has in recent years been faced by challenges of increased stray dogs.
