Harambee Starlets striker Jentrix Shikangwa has officially parted ways with Tanzanian giants Simba SC, marking the end of her memorable chapter in Tanzanian football.
The club confirmed the news on Monday, revealing that the decision was mutual. Shikangwa, 23, joined Simba Queens in January 2022 from Kenya’s Vihiga Queens, where she had carved a name for herself as one of the region’s most lethal finishers.
In her time with the Tanzanian outfit, the sharp-shooting forward played a crucial role in the club’s dominance of the Tanzanian Women’s Premier League and their appearances in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
“We thank Jentrix Shikangwa for her service to the club and wish her all the best in her future endeavors,” read a statement from Simba SC.
Shikangwa’s departure ends a two-year spell packed with goals, silverware, and standout performances. Renowned for her explosive pace, clinical finishing, and ability to shift momentum in tight matches, the Migori-born star leaves behind a strong legacy.
Her next destination remains under wraps, but with her growing profile and proven experience at both domestic and continental levels, interest from clubs across Africa, Europe, and beyond is expected.
Despite her exit from Simba, Shikangwa remains a key pillar for the Harambee Starlets, and her experience will be vital as Kenya gears up for upcoming international fixtures.
