It was a day of faith, resilience, and growth for six boys who underwent circumcision at the Faith-Based Rehabilitation Center, marking the most important cultural and personal landmark of their lives. Led by the indomitable Rev. Chaplain John Njagi, the event inspired all with messages of hope, persistence, and the essence of living in the present.
“Don’t Let Negative Words Stop Your Progress”
Addressing the boys and the community, Rev. Njagi challenged everybody to embrace positivity and grow. “Don’t let negative words stop your progress. Dirty water doesn’t stop plants from growing. Don’t cry over the past, it’s gone. Don’t stress about the future, it hasn’t arrived. Live in the present and make it beautiful,” he said. His words pointedly reminded them of the need for resilience and faith in the face of life’s challenges.

Circumcision teaches a young man to be responsible. You learn maturity and respect — to honor your parents and elders, and to stop behaving like a child.” Said one of the boys.

Spiritual Guidance at the Core

Drawing from the Scriptures, Rev. Njagi referenced Psalm 92:13-14: “Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” He emphasized that a strong spiritual foundation ensures continuous growth and fulfillment, regardless of age or circumstance.

Celebrating Courage and Milestones

They were commended for their bravery, commitment, and willingness to embrace cultural and personal growth. Rev. Njagi encouraged them to continue nurturing their faith, resilience, and positive habits as they journey on in life.

Community Support and Inspiration

Family members, community leaders, and center supporters who attended the event praised the celebration for being both inspiring and empowering. Many mentioned that it underlined how cultural practices, moral guidance, and spiritual mentorship together help in cementing youth development.

A Lesson in Growth and Perseverance

Rev. Njagi concluded by reminding the community that even though some plants blossom and grow despite adverse conditions, individuals with a faith foundation and community support can grow, blossom, and make impacting differences in society. The occasion was thus representative of the collaboration at various levels: resilience, courage, and spiritual guidance for the development of the next generation.
“Those planted in the house of the Lord will flourish,” assured Rev. Njagi, who left the attendees inspired to cultivate faith, positivity, and personal growth in every aspect of life.
