DCI Launches Probe into Alleged Organ Trafficking at Mediheal Hospital

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched a comprehensive investigation into serious allegations of organ trafficking at Mediheal Hospital’s Fertility and Transplant Centre in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County.
The probe is being led by the DCI’s elite Transnational Organized Crime Unit (TOCU), following reports suggesting that human organs may have been illicitly harvested and trafficked from the facility.
While several related complaints have been previously reported at different police stations and DCI offices across the North Rift region, TOCU is now centralizing the investigation to ensure a coordinated and thorough inquiry.
In a statement issued by the DCI, TOCU will be reviewing all earlier reports, recording new statements from victims and suspects, and conducting forensic analyses to determine the full scope of the alleged criminal activities.
The goal is to ensure no stone is left unturned in uncovering the truth behind the disturbing claims.
Authorities have also made a public appeal to anyone with information related to the matter—whether victims, witnesses, or concerned individuals—to come forward and record statements with the Head of TOCU at the DCI Headquarters, Block B, Nairobi.
“The DCI remains fully committed to investigating this matter with professionalism and integrity, ensuring that justice is served for both the victims and any individuals found culpable,” read the statement in part.
