Cosmas Kerich ,Acting  Director of Enforcement at the Uasin Gishu County released on Bond

The Acting  Director of Enforcement at the Uasin Gishu County Government,Cosmas Kerich has been released on Ksh 100,000  bond or  a cash bail of Ksh 30,000 with a  surety of  a similar amount.

Senior  Principal Magistrate  Christine Menya also cautioned the  suspect against attacking the  complainant  by himself or through emissaries,

“I caution the  suspect against attacking the complainant if  there  are  any complaints, they should  be channeled through the  DPP ” Ordered Menya.

Kerich  who had  been remanded at the Eldoret  Gk Remand prison is  facing charges  of threatening to kill Eldoret Senior Resident magistrate  Emilly Kigen on 17^th October 2022.

According to the charge sheet Kerich is quoted to have uttered the following words  on 17th October 2022 at the Eldoret Municipal court number 6 “wewe pia mwanamke toka hapa ama pia tutakuua”

The case will be mentioned on 5^th of  April 2023.
