A section of leaders now want the feud between Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya and his deputy Bineah Kapkory solved, saying it was derailing development in the county.
Led by Saboti legislator Caleb Hamisi the leaders have noted that the feud between the two was becoming personal thus affecting development.
Speaking in his constituency, Hamisi has lashed on some leaders whom he accused of sponsoring the feud between the two for political expediency.
“It is a right for any leader to champion for either a Mt Elgon district or county but will not allow efforts geared towards dividing locals in Saboti constituency.”
Hamisi’s claims come as the two parties supporting the two clashed at a funeral function of a former MCA with some of the county employees beaten up by supporters of the deputy governor.
On his part Natembeya has called on locals especially the youth to desist from being used by politicians to disrupt the relevant peace being witnessed in the county.
This comes as a section of Christian leaders wade into the matter offering to mediate between the two to end the ongoing wrangles.
