Water supply from the Chebara Treatment Plant will be interrupted for three days starting Wednesday, July 9, as Eldoret Water and Sanitation Co. Ltd. (ELDOWAS) conducts essential routine maintenance, according to a public notice issued by the utility.

The outage will begin at 9 a.m. on July 9 and last until 9 p.m. on Friday, July 11. Affected areas include Kimumu, the University of Eldoret, Chepkanga, Kamukunji, and other neighborhoods stretching along the Chebara-Eldoret Pipeline.

During the maintenance, water bowser services will also be unavailable. However, ELDOWAS confirmed that treatment plants will remain operational to support unaffected regions.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding,” said Dr. Lawrence Tanui, ELDOWAS managing director.
