An Eldoret Court Nullifies Nomination of 11 MCA’s

An Eldoret Court has  nullified The appointment of  11 Members of  the  Uasin gishu County Assembly  out  of  the 14 nominated by  the  United Democracy (Party UDA)

Eldoret Chief  Magistrate Dennis Mikoyan  issued  the Ruling Wednesday following a  case  that had  been filed  by Celestine Mutai and Robert Kiptanui as well as a  section of  Civil Societies after  the UDA Party failed to nominate  a  representative of People Living with Disability.

The Court either  established that  the Electoral Body should have used the list that was gazetted on 27th July 2022 in nominating the MCAs instead of that gazetted on 28th August 2022 which had been rejected by The Political Parties Tribunal.

The affected Mca’s have 14 days   to appeal the ruling.
