Two people shot in Migori ,Bondo -Kisumu Highway temporally closed!

Two people on Wednesday morning sustained gunshot wounds from the on-going anti-government demonstration in Migori County.
Mike Ochere an administrator in Oruba Nursing home confirmed that two middle aged men who suffered gunshot wounds are receiving treatment in the facility.
One of the victims has been shot in the thigh while the other has been shot in the leg according to a statement by Ochere.
He added that a middle-aged woman also suffered suffocation due to the teargas lobbed by the police into her home and she is also receiving treatment.
Currently, transport services in Migori County have been disoriented and businesses temporarily shut down following the ongoing demonstrations.
The police have stopped the demonstrators from accessing Migori Central Business district. The defiant protesters are engaging the police in a cat and mouse chase within the estates in Oruba, Osaka and Apida which are adjacent to Migori town.
The protesters led by Ken Michael have accused the police of using excessive force on the peaceful demonstrators.
He stated that the police should allow people to hold peaceful demonstrations.
Elsewhere Kisumu-Bondo highway has temporally been closed after area Mp James Nyikal lead hundreds of demonstrators in Seme.
