Through expert insights and personal experiences, the feature examines why some young people begin using cannabis, the risks of dependence and the importance of strengthening education, counselling and treatment services. It also highlights the role of parents, schools, colleges and communities in preventing substance use and supporting people struggling with dependence without stigmatising them.
The feature calls for evidence-based conversations, public awareness and access to professional support. It emphasises that preventing substance use begins with knowledge, while the journey to recovery begins with support.
