Senior Kenya Kwanza leaders on Friday mounted a major political rally in Eldoret, using the gathering to defend the government’s record, promote national unity and urge eligible Kenyans to register as voters ahead of next year’s General Election.

Thousands of supporters attended the United Democratic Alliance rally, which brought together Moses Wetang’ula, President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet, Kimani Ichung’wah, Aaron Cheruiyot, Oscar Sudi and other leaders from the Kenya Kwanza coalition.

Addressing the crowd, Wetang’ula called for national unity, saying Kenya’s diversity should be viewed as a source of strength rather than division.

“Eldoret is the face of Kenya. All tribes are here. We must be each other’s keepers, and anyone who comes with tribal politics is our enemy,” he said.

The Speaker also appealed to young people to reject political violence.”Do not be used by politicians to fight. Tell them to bring their own child and let me start with them,” he said.

Ichung’wah defended the Kenya Kwanza administration’s performance, citing infrastructure development, economic reforms and job creation initiatives as evidence that the government was delivering on its promises.

“The problem in this world is when a person has no plan. If someone has a shallow mind, they start looking for chaos. Those goons are not innocent children. They are used by bankrupt politicians who have no sense,” he said.

Farouk Kibet urged Kenyans to register as voters and support the government’s development agenda, saying peaceful political participation would be key to the country’s progress.

Aaron Cheruiyot called on political leaders to shun divisive rhetoric and instead work together to promote development and national cohesion.

Oscar Sudi urged supporters of the ruling coalition to remain united behind the Kenya Kwanza leadership, expressing confidence that the administration would continue implementing its development agenda.

The leaders thanked residents for attending the rally and pledged to accelerate development projects across the Rift Valley and other parts of the country.

The Eldoret meeting is part of a wider grassroots mobilization campaign by the United Democratic Alliance aimed at strengthening party structures, encouraging voter registration and consolidating support for the Kenya Kwanza administration ahead of the 2027 General Election.
