Ruto Pledges Upgrade of Historic Maseno School Facilities During 120th Anniversary Celebration

President William Ruto has praised Maseno School for its enduring legacy of academic excellence and leadership development as the institution marked 120 years since its establishment.
The President recognized the school during the Kisumu County anniversary celebrations as an educational institution which has established a tradition of discipline and service to the nation while developing future Kenyan leaders who would lead their nation through East Africa.
“For 120 years, Maseno School has stood not merely as a centre of learning but as a living monument to the enduring power of education discipline leadership service and nationhood Ruto said.

He explained that students who attended the school had come to the United States from all across the country to fulfill their family’s dreams by becoming skilled workers who helped build various sectors of the nation.
“Empires have risen and faded. Governments have changed. Political seasons have come and gone. Yet, Maseno has endured, producing leaders scholars clergy scientists public servants and patriots who helped shape Kenya and East Africa into what they are today he added.
The President announced that government funding would be used to enhance the educational resources at the school which includes improvements to the historic buildings constructed by the Church Missionary Society in 1906.
Ruto attributed the school’s long-standing success to strong institutional culture discipline and commitment to academic excellence.
“Many schools rise and fall with seasons and circumstances but Maseno has maintained its status as one of the top academic institutions in Kenya which makes it an exceptional case he said.
The Head of State further commended the school community for preserving the institution’s heritage and values over the decades.
