Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards Mary Muthoni has convened a high-level consultative meeting bringing together the Ministry of Health Kenya, development partners, civil society, and community organisations to enhance coordination within Kenya’s public health sector.

The meeting focused on aligning partner support with national health priorities, with key discussions centred on disease prevention, health promotion, and strengthening system resilience. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of practical, community-led interventions in reinforcing primary healthcare and improving overall health outcomes.

Muthoni reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fostering effective, results-driven partnerships aimed at improving service delivery and accelerating progress toward Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

She also called on stakeholders to support preparations for the upcoming Kenya Public Health International Conference 2026, urging active participation in planning and resource mobilisation to position Kenya as a regional leader in public health, climate action, and health security.

Among those present was Margaret Lubaale, Chief Executive Officer of the Health NGOs Network, alongside other senior officials and partners in the health sector.
