Dr. Oburu Oginga who leads the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has denied the assertion that President William Ruto and the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga have failed to implement their 10-point agreement.

Oburu stated that the government has already accomplished its work by allocating funds to help county governments which strengthens the country’s devolution system.

The Siaya Senator declared that Parliament allocated Ksh.2 billion for compensation payments to victims who suffered fatalities or injuries during protests that occurred since 2017.

Parliament has already allocated Ksh.2 billion for compensating families of those who died or were injured during demonstrations since 2017 according to his statement.

Oburu observed the agreement now provides equal opportunities for public employment through the appointment of a Principal Secretary from Rarieda who serves as his demonstration of progress.

He maintained that the 10-point agenda implementation claims which others have made are false.

The ODM party has empowered Oburu to begin talks with President Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) about establishing a broad-based governmental framework.

He stated that the negotiation team has not yet been established but when negotiations begin ODM will participate with UDA as an equal partner instead of a position of inferiority.
