Senator Veronica Maina led an extensive economic empowerment initiative in Kanyenyaini Ward which brought together multiple community organizations to enhance their basic economic skills while creating additional revenue streams for their communities.
The event drew attendees from various men’s and women’s organizations together with boda boda drivers who came from multiple villages throughout the ward including Kibutha, Githiga, Mukika, Gacharage, Kanjama, and Kahuho. The assembly offered a space for participants to discuss effective methods for increasing family financial resources while they worked on developing better access to monetary assistance and community-based growth projects.
Senator Maina expressed her appreciation for the groups’ persistent work and dedication to independence because she believed the organized community groups played an essential role in boosting local economic development. She stated that when grassroots organizations receive appropriate instruments and educational resources and backing, they acquire potential to drive development which will enhance village living conditions.
The Senator stated that the program follows President William Ruto‘s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) which aims to raise social status for common citizens by distributing wealth and opportunities throughout all economic tiers of society. She stated that the system gives priority to essential economic contributors who include micro and small businesses as well as farmers and vendors and boda boda drivers.
The government implements special programs that focus on providing people with affordable loans while developing regional infrastructure work which creates fresh economic prospects that boost citizen spending capacity according to Senator Maina. She urged community groups to utilize government programs together with cooperative models and savings initiatives as pathways to sustainable business development.
The Senator confirmed her ongoing commitment to support all current and future development initiatives in Kangema Constituency through her statements. She identified essential road projects including Mau Mau Road because she believed reliable transportation routes and their necessary infrastructure enabled easier travel which reduced business costs while helping people reach markets and vital services.
The forum was attended by several local administrators who demonstrated the partnership between elected representatives and national government officials. The area Chief Mr. Martin and Assistant County Commissioner Mr. Ruto and Assistant Chief Madam Mary attended the event to support community projects that aim to empower local residents through equal development opportunities.
Senator Maina closed her speech by restating her total commitment to backing government projects which advance development activities because she believed working together helped public services reach their targets. She stated that “We are government. We stay in government. We support government,” which she believed required all leaders and citizens to work together to accomplish permanent economic progress.
