The Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) has scheduled an important stakeholders’ meeting for October 10, 2025, at the Nyayo National Stadium Media Centre to organize the preparation for the 2025–2026 volleyball season.

The meeting shall gather clubs, coaches, referees, and partners to organize the initiative for the upcoming campaign. It will discuss fixtures, rules, and steps to build and professionalise the sport.

Opening addresses will be made by the federation officials, followed by a marketing presentation, season 2024–2025 review, and launching of the new season calendar. The fixture draw for the match will be done in the meeting.

The timing is not accidental since KVF is aiming at making a better organized, competitive, and marketable volleyball environment. One of the focal points will be riding on the wave of the inaugural Kenya Cup, which concluded last month with strong support from fans and multiple sponsorships.

Areas of focus include updates to the rules and regulations, operational procedures for the season, and targeted initiatives to grow the sport’s spectator base. KVF aims to streamline its marketing strategy to secure new sponsors, boost matchday attendances, and receive more extensive media attention.

Stakeholders will also be aware of new promotion campaigns aimed at increasing the men’s and women’s leagues’ images nationwide. The campaigns will enhance the popularity of volleyball and make it more appealing to the masses.

The last season ended in June, when GSU assumed the men’s national title by defeating Kenya Ports Authority in straight sets. In the women’s league, Kenya Pipeline outlasted DCI 3–2 in a closely fought final, which reflected the extent of talent and keen competition in Kenyan volleyball.

While arrangements are already underway, the KVF is inviting the full and immediate response of all the invited stakeholders. This meeting is considered by the federation as a milepost towards a more professional, market-driven, and inclusive future for sport in Kenya.

By bringing all voices onto the table, KVF seeks to ensure the 2025–2026 season sets new records for organisation, entertainment value, and stakeholder engagement — basically cementing volleyball as one of Kenya’s most exciting and fast-growing sports.
