Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa has assured Kenyans that their personal data is secure, adding that the company continues to deliver top-quality voice and network services across the country.

Speaking during the launch of Ndoto Zetu Season 7 at Eldoret Special School, Ndegwa emphasized Safaricom’s commitment to not only connectivity but also social impact.

“Our network is the most reliable in the country. We process over 100 million transactions daily and even support activities like sports. Customers can rest assured—your data is safe with us,” Ndegwa said.

He encouraged community members to take advantage of Safaricom Foundation’s funding opportunities by submitting well-written proposals.

These funds are available to support projects in education, health, environment, and other community-based initiatives.

“We want to see more people coming forward with ideas that can change their neighborhoods. The funding is there—use it,” he urged.

According to Ndegwa, Safaricom has already spent over KSh 3 billion on community-driven projects nationwide. In 2025 alone, the company has invested KSh 100 million through the Safaricom Foundation.

However, he expressed concern over the overwhelming number of applications the foundation receives, noting that only 300 to 400 proposals were selected for support this year under the Ndoto Zetu program.

“We see so much potential out there, but we can only fund a limited number. That’s why proposal quality really matters,” he added.

The event highlighted Safaricom’s ongoing efforts to bridge the gap between business and community service, urging Kenyans to dream big and take action.
