Uasin Gishu County Partners with international doctors to conduct free medical screening and surgeries for obstetrics and gynecology

Governor Jonathan Bii is betting on local and international partners to bolster and improve health services in Uasin Gishu County.

 

Health is the largest and most demanding both in terms of development of infrastructure, staffing and financing for equipment.

 

Speaking during a free medical mission camp at Burnt Forest Hospital, Governor Bii said health is broad and demands a lot of funds.

 

Being one of the agendas of Nguzo Kumi, the Governor reiterated that he will be seeking partnerships to improve and better health for the residents of the county.

 

“Health has effects on staffing and funding and therefore, we shall be reaching out to friends and partners to improve health services in our county,” said Bii.

 

“The office of linkages and partnerships will play a very big role as we reach out for friends and well-wishers to make Uasin Gishu healthy and productive,” he added.

The medical mission is led by a team of international doctors and does free medical screening and surgeries for obstetrics, gynecology and general operations.

 

The free medical camp is ongoing in Burnt Forest, Ziwa, Turbo and Uasin Gishu County Hospitals, It began on October 31 and ends on November 9.
