The journey to a better future begins with a single, powerful act that is registering to vote. The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced the resumption of Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) starting September 29th, 2025. This is an important opportunity for every eligible citizen to take charge of their future by ensuring their voice is heard at the ballot box.
In Simat/Kapseret Ward, Uasin Gishu County, a new wave of leadership is emerging, led by Matelong K. Brian, an aspirant for the position of Member of County Assembly (MCA). Brian has pledged to bring meaningful change to the community through visionary leadership and development-focused governance.
To take part in this democratic process, you must first ensure that you meet the IEBC eligibility requirements for voter registration. Every Kenyan citizen is encouraged to register if they meet the following criteria:
1. Must be a Kenyan citizen.
2. Must have attained the age of 18 years and above.
3. Must be in possession of a valid National Identity Card or Kenyan Passport.
4. Must present themselves in person at an official IEBC registration center.
5. Must be a resident of the ward or constituency where they intend to vote.
“The first step to transformation begins with you,” Brian emphasized. “By registering to vote, you gain the power to shape the direction of our community. Together, we can build a future filled with opportunities and progress.”
The call is clear: register to vote, participate in the democratic process, and elect leaders committed to real change.
As the voter registration exercise kicks off, every unregistered citizen is urged to visit the nearest IEBC registration center and be part of this pivotal moment. Your vote is not just a mark on a ballot; it is a voice for progress and a brighter tomorrow.
Your vote is your future; don’t let it go unheard!
