Former National Assembly Speaker and Attorney General Justin Muturi have received widespread praise from leaders across Kenya’s political divide, following the launch of his new book titled The Fight for Order at the Nairobi Club on Friday.

The ceremony, attended by key political figures, scholars, and governance experts, was described by Muturi as one of the most meaningful events in his public life. He said that the book embodies the essence of Kenya’s struggle to build accountable institutions and uphold the rule of law.

“The Fight for Order is not just my personal story. It reflects our shared national journey-the challenges we’ve faced, lessons we have learnt, and our continued pursuit of a just and orderly society,” Muturi said during his address. He thanked attendees, especially opposition leaders, for gracing the occasion and engaging in a reflective discussion on governance.

Those present included former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP–Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa, and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.

During his address, Gachagua praised Muturi’s steadfastness and integrity during his years in public office, saying: “JB Muturi’s journey reminds us that true leadership is founded on principle, not power. His experiences reflect the resilience needed to protect institutions when they are under strain and the importance of service above personal interest.”

Fred Matiang’i echoed similar sentiments, reassuring that the book contributes a great deal to Kenya’s continuous political discourse. “It was a pleasure joining my colleague and friend JB Muturi at his book launch. Together, we reflected on leadership, unity, and the need to strengthen governance in line with our Constitution,” he said.

Kalonzo Musyoka also praised the work of Muturi, noting that it was a useful guide for the next generation of leaders. “Leadership calls for patience, vision, and courage to act for the common good. JB’s book will no doubt serve as a beacon to those desirous to lead with integrity,” the Wiper leader said.

On his part, Eugene Wamalwa praised Muturi for chronicling his extensive public career. “Thank you, JB Muturi, for taking us through your remarkable journey from magistrate, Member of Parliament, and Speaker of the National Assembly to your service in the Executive as Attorney General and Cabinet Secretary,” Wamalwa remarked. The event not only celebrated Muturi’s decades-long service to the nation but also showed a moment of unity among opposition leaders, who reiterated their shared commitment to promoting dialogue, institutional reform, and accountable governance.
