Msambweni Deputy County Commissioner warns parents who fail to take their children to school

Msambweni Deputy County Commissioner In Kwale County Lotiatia Kipkech, has warned parents who fail to take their children to school in line with the Government policy on Mandatory primary school Education.
Mr. Lotiatia, who was speaking Thursday during the Mashujaa day celebrations at The Jomo Kenyatta primary school, Noted that 100 percent transition will be implemented fully and that despite the Sub county have recorded an increase in the number of children going to school in 2022 compared to the previous year 2021 more students continue to roam within the villages.
“Education stakeholders and the National government made efforts this year to ensure that no child is left at home, but those efforts are still not enough because there is no good cooperation from some of the parents,” said Mr. Lotiatia
At the same time, he has asked parents to ensure gender equality in education matters, mentioning that some of the parents continued to disregard the girl child education within the County.
Lotiatia has also asked the candidates who are preparing to sit for their National examinations this year to double their efforts in their studies saying that the government guarantees equal opportunities in high schools, Universities and technical colleges.
Relief Food
The Deputy County Commissioner has also noted that residents of Msambweni sub county will also benefit from National Governments relief food especially to the families most affected by the severe drought.
